Inspired by Jim Jarmusch’s 1999 cult film, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai – The Album extends the movie’s atmosphere into a hip-hop soundscape curated by members of the Wu-Tang Clan. Where RZA’s film score provided minimalist beats and moody textures, this companion album transforms the themes into full-fledged collaborations.

Featuring contributions from Wu-Tang affiliates such as Sunz of Man, Black Knights, Killah Priest, and RZA himself, the record blends martial-arts mysticism, street wisdom, and dense lyricism. Songs like “Strange Eyes” and “Walking Through the Darkness” carry the philosophical weight of samurai codes while rooted in New York’s late-’90s underground sound.
